I was also worried about missing the AI Upscaling of the Shield but honestly, the passive upscaling in the ATV is pretty damn good. So far the Apple TV is a much cleaner and faster experience but for the enthusiasts the Shield is much better option due to audio pass-through and profile 7 Dolby Vision support.įor day to day use it's awesome to be able to control my TV from my iPad, Apple Watch and iPhone quickly and seamlessly via Control Center.
I don't mind so much since it's usually fixed with a force close or two but the wife and kids were very annoyed. The Plex app on my Shields is just a buggy mess.
